Goal

Aim of the Project : Developing a service ecosystem that offers real and immediate benefits for the participants while generating data that is valuable for municipalities in fighting or managing the COVID crisis. The underlying data donation system should be able to process aggregated and individual data. With Research Question such as: Which data and resulting services can help municipalities to manage a crisis? What are the main attributes of a sustainable data donation system? What benefit can we create that would entice participants to share data?

Project Summary

Communication is one of the main components that make or break crisis management. In a crisis like Corona that requires solid cooperation between government and citizens.

In Cooperation with Risiko-Dialog Stiftung we created DIALOG, it bridges the gap between citizens and municipalities by starting a consistent dialogue, establishing an understanding between both parties. The service consist of three main communication building blocks. An information section that makes everyday life easier by informing you about occurrences such as the next garbage collection. In times of crisis, this part comes into its own by providing an orderly, safe channel for information, keeping you updated on everything necessary. The survey portion allows municipalities to ask citizens about their well-being, and in return lets the citizens express their opinion back to the municipalities in short surveys which then support their decision-making. The feedback section gives the citizens the possibility to communicate problems to the appropriate parties easily. By enabling a quick and straightforward way to gain insights, we are establishing a system of communication and dialogue that initiates fast and accurate decision-making. Builds trust and understanding among citizens, which is invaluable in times of crisis.
